Generally when first introducing myself to a new year, I’m not at my best —
My mouth is bone dry, my head is floating up somewhere in a champagne fog, the remnants of last night’s smoky eye are now reallllly smoldering….I’ll spare you any photographic evidence, but I assure you it’s not pretty.
Instead, I’ll start this off by giving you my 2011 New Year’s Resolutions:
1. Go to the gym at least 3 times per week
2. Floss my teeth every day
3. Be better about staying in touch with out of town friends
4. Pad my savings account as much as possible
5. Get the blog I have been working on up and running, and stick to it.
If you did know me, you’d know that #1 is really going to test my resolve. #2 is going to be a toughie too – I just never can remember to pull out a floss pick each night! I think #3 I’ll be able to work on (I promise!), and #4 is perennially impossible in NYC – but I’m really going to work on it.
Numero cinco. I have to say – it feels good to start the New Year and cross at least half of it off. I’ve started it here, after all, and now it’s just up to me to keep my resolution.
